A New Kind of Race for Corolla
Corolla has always had a rhythm of its own—quiet mornings, wide beaches, and miles of open road that invite you to slow down… or lace up and go. This Spring, that spirit takes on a new form with the inaugural Corolla Ten Miler (and 5k Fun Run), a first-of-its-kind running event created to celebrate movement, community, and this extraordinary place we call home.
Designed for runners who love a view, this event combines scenic roads, a beach segment, and a relatively flat, approachable course. A family-friendly 5K fun run welcomes participants of all levels to join in.

Participants: Runners and walkers welcome. (Please note that the Ten Miler has a 3.5-hour time limit).
At its heart, the Corolla Ten Miler is about more than miles—it’s about bringing people together. From local runners, volunteers and sponsors to visiting runners and their families traveling in for the weekend, this event was built to support and spotlight the local community.
Local businesses, neighbors, and partners play a key role in making race day possible. It's designed to encourage everyone to linger—enjoying restaurants, shops, beaches, and everything else Corolla has to offer.
An avid runner and longtime Corolla local, Scott Wheeler created the Corolla Ten Miler to share his love of running and introduce more people to Corolla.
After the race, participants and spectators are invited to stick around for a post-race celebration featuring:

Spectators can also explore Historic Corolla Park, visit the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, and enjoy the surrounding community throughout the day.
